I am attempting to switch from my LG phone to an iPhone 6s Plus. When I use the Swap Device feature on my Boost Mobile account, I get an error message saying the sim card is invalid. I'm using my old sim card that was in the LG phone. When browsing similar threads, most of the solutions required a customer support rep to help.
If someone could reach out to me regarding this, I would greatly appreciate it!
Hi, joshwah. SIM cards may not be shared between two devices. Each SIM card is assigned to a transceiver (device) and paired together. Users may not simply pop a SIM card out of one device and use it immediately in another device. This is known as 'pop and swap'. Boost Mobile specifically activates and checks for the paired equipment when connecting to the Sprint network.
Thanks for the speedy reply!
To confirm then, all I have to do is purchase a new sim card for the iPhone and I'll be able to use it?
Also, "pop and swap"
