Brand new unlocked iPhone SE activation

Hello, 

I purchased a brand new unlocked iPhone from Costco.

However I am unable to activate it.

I tried online and spoke to two different customer support agents but to no avail. 

I don’t understand why I can’t activate it. It’s clearly not the phone so it has to be a technical issue with Boost computer system.

thanks for the quick response. I just tried the website again and the exact message is

This device is not eligible to swap

 

The agents said my phone was not compatible.

I mentioned in my last message 

 

I logged in to my account, clicked Swap Device, entered my imei number and got this exact message 

 

This device is not eligible to swap

Unfortunately, if the device is not eligible/compatible with the network, it cannot be activated.

That’s what I’m trying to understand. 

What’s the technical reason? It doesn’t make sense in 2020.

I believe there is a technical snafu and I’d like to escalate this issue to the technical team

I’m having the same problem with a iPhone SE i bought from the boost mobile site
