Samsung S7 Edge - not able to activate

I recently bought a S7 Edge that was previously used with Sprint for my son to use with his boost plan. When I tested the phone with my Verizon SIM card everything worked fine. My question is why is the boost website saying the imei is not compatible especially if it was originally a sprint phone? Do I need to switch my son over to Verizon in order to use or is there away to use it with boost?

Hi, Waltons41073. That device is not compatible. Please go to https://www.boostmobile.com/support/faq/phones-devices/activate-a-sprint-phone.html to check the compatible Sprint devices.

Your response is not true. I went to my local boost store and had this phone activated under my account. Beginning to think nobody at boost knows wth their doing!
