Pre-owned Samsung S8 Plus battery drain

I recently purchased a pre owned Galaxy S8 Plus from the Boost site. The battery is draining very fast! I have done everything to fix the problem to no avail. No apps seem to be using battery. It goes down 10% in a half hour. I have my battery set to med power saving. Could the battery be defective and if so can I get e replacement phone?
