Ported number but not receiving text msgs

My husband ported his number from Bluegrass Cellular and everything works fine except that he does not receive any text messages from anyone that has Bluegrass Cellular. Can this be fixed?

He would still like to be able to receive iMessages from non Bluegrass Cellular users. Does this issue have anything to do with the fact that he ported his phone number from that company? The zip code is 42748 and the street is Leafdale Rd

Hi @Adriana28

 There are no outages in our network not allowing customers to receive/send sms from other carriers in this area. The other person should verify with the other carrier since services display that are good in your location.  You may send us a private message with the phone number and PIN of the account with the issue to check if there is any number blocked from sending sms to your husband.

The issue has been happening since he switched from bluegrass cellular to boost mobile over a year ago.
