Switching 2 single lines to a Family Plan

I'm trying to switch my two individual $35 3G Grow Data accounts into one single $80 ($50 + $30) Unlimited Talk/Text/High Speed Data 2-line Family Plan.

 

My current service isn't up for another 10 days so I have the pending change to the $50 Unlimited plan to take effect in 10 days (so as not to pay twice for the same service).  Do I need to wait until I am actually ON the new $50 plan (in 10 days) before I can initiate the invitation to link my two accounts?

@btk097 We recommended you to wait until the due date you wish on the 3 accounts is close so you can send the invitation and activate the family plan.
