Can I change my plan without losing my family member (2nd line)

I would like to change my plan on the website from the $60 unlimited (with a family member for $30 more + 20 gb hot spot) to the $50 unlimited (+$30 more with family member and 12 gb hotspot) tonight. Can I do this online without losing my family member? When I did it earlier... It didn't say the "warning" about losing the family members line and that they will be responsible for their payment. So, I changed it to the $50 unlimited plan. I then checked my account & new plan and it said my new bill is $52 monthly (plus $2 secure wifi). It should be $82. Which makes me think they booted off the family member so I cancelled it.
Does anyone know if I can change this without losing my family member? TIA 🙃🙂
