Constant LTE connection though I'm on the $50 plan

As the title implies, for the last few weeks I have been unable to get 4g speeds even though; a. My billing cycle just ended 2 weeks ago b. I'm on the $50 plan.
I've tried all the most common fixes with no success which include ensuring mobile data is on, ensured connection to the Sprint thing (I forget what it's called right now) and I've attempted to find out to reestablish connection with no success on that end either. The steps listed to do so do not reflect the options currently available. Mainly device diagnostics.
It's not severely hampering, just frustrating that I'm paying for something I'm not getting.
