$50 Unlimited plan, yet extremely slow data speeds

I am on the $50 unlimited data plan, and was told that my data speed would never be throttled. I am now being sent text messages stating that if I reach 23 gigs, that I could experience slowed data speed. The network is slow enough without slowing my speeds. If this happens, then you flat out lied. It shows LTE on my phone, but it's very slow to be LTE. President Trump gave you corporations big breaks on regulations and taxes. Boost needs to stop playing games and start giving your loyal customers a break.

Why throttle the data speed even when a person is nowhere near their data limit? Boost "offers " "high-speed data" but actually only gives 22kbps on 4g LTE

Please follow these steps:

- Click on the user name of the Social care agent. You will be taken to their profile.
- Click the "Send this User a Private Message" located on the right hand side.
- Type your message in the new window and click Send.

Recently I've gotten a couple notices that things would change with the plan I've got. Yet, it hasn't changed. Until today. I've been a customer for a good few years now and NEVER had a problem with my speeds until today. I understand the need for prioritizing connections. However, before today, even having used my "allotted data" of 35GB, I was rarely throttled. Today, though, it said I had used my "allotted data" of 35GB and that I would be limited and now I'm getting WAY LESS than I ever had before. I'm being limited to 20KB/s (that's 0.16 Mbps) . . . ONLY 20KB/s (0.16 Mbps)??? That's not even close to 3G speed!!! Come on!! Since the Sprint merger with T-Mobile, the service has gotten worse it seems. I can understand like a few hundred KB/s, which allows for at least somewhat of a decent connection, but ONLY 20KB/s (0.16 Mbps)??? May as well say it's a limited data plan that you get cut off completely like in the old days, because with 20KB/s it's basically not even worth it. I could barely get this posted with being throttled to NOTHING!!

UPDATE: According to a service agent:

Hi there. Effective 07,20,2020, customers on unlimited data plans will have their data plans reduced to 2G speeds once they exceed their 35GB threshold. Although we have introduced a data reduction, your data services still remain unlimited. Your data speeds will be restored at the beginning of your next plan cycle. You can restore your high-speed data by, 1 restarting your plan or 2 purchasing a Data Pack.

Well, that explains it. But it's still ridiculous. Unfortunately, having done some research, it seems all carriers are now doing that once customers reach a certain limit. I guess I won't be watching videos or doing anything FUN online anymore.

Yes please sue them. this is the whole reason i made an account here. I purchased their unlimited plan, its been like a week and a half and i get the message saying speeds will be slowed. My data speeds arent just slowed my phone is completely useless right now even when i am connected to wifi??????  Boost wants to screw us over so hard that even when your connected to wifi they will slow your crap down thinking that your going to spend more money on them. No, ill just go back to Verizon you idiots. Im so mad its a sunday and everything is closed right now, literally cant use my phone what so ever. NEVER had this problem with Verizon. No wonder they are better, also they are worth the money because i want boost to watch money go everywhere else besides them.
