I have done both of those steps earlier before having someone test my text reception. Those fixes didnt work.

That’s no good at all. Sorry you’ve been experiencing this, @mellymel212. Are you able to make and receive calls? To research further, can you send us the cross streets and ZIP codes where this occurs?

I can make and receive calls as well as send text that are received. Streets are Church Road and W.E. Ross Parkway

Lg xcharge. I text someone letting them know of situation and to call me 5 minutes after sending me a text. They called but I never received their text.

Understood. Thanks for the information. Please follow these steps to update the phone:

 

1.From the home screen, swipe down the Status bar.
2.Tap the Settings icon.
3.In the General tab, scroll to and tap System updates.
4.Tap Update PRL.
5.Once the PRL update is complete, tap OK.
6.Tap Update Profile.
7.Once the Profile update is complete, tap OK.

 

Once completed, please test the service and let us know the outcome.

Did not mean to accept solution. Phone still doesnt receive text.

We understand. Please, follow this steps to program the device

:

1.From the Home screen, select the Phone icon.
2.Enter ##72786#.
3.Retrieve Settings window will appear
4.Allow the hands-free activation to begin automatically.
•Note: If the customer accidentally taps Cancel or Hands-Free Activation does not automatically start, just turn the device off and on.

 

Once completed, please, test the service one more time and let us know what happens.
