ZTE warp elite problem

Having problems downloading and updating apps, it always says: "Download pending, √verified by Play Protect. And it never does download. I've tried every thing I can think of. Can someone please help me?

Hi there, Cherrie1! Let's do some investigating. Is it happening with all apps? Are you getting an error message?

Please try to clear the cache & data of the Play Store, this gives the app a fresh start and can help fix issues:
1.Open your device's Settings app Settings.
2.Scroll down and tap Google Play Store Google Play.
3.Tap Storage and then Clear Cache.
4.Next, tap Clear data.
5.Re-open the Play Store & try your download again.
