I was looking to add my son on to my plan today by switching him from his current non-Sprint affiliated carrier. The first store we went to was very helpful and informed us of a current promotion offered for a free phone and free month for switching carriers. She showed us the phones he could choose from for free but unfortunately found she was out of stock of the LG Tribute HD.
He had his heart set on that phone so we decided to try another dealer a mile up the road. They had that phone in stock but not only were we rudely told it was NOT available with the promotion and there was no free month but that if we wanted to purchase it it would be $80 even though it was a new customer/phone number when it it clearly being offered for less both online and at other dealers.
Is that right? Legal of this Boost dealer? Or did we just run into someone who very clearly shouldn't be in customer service?
