Trouble activating phone

When doing the last step of activation, the payment step, it says it will take some time but eventually it just stops and gives me my activation status code and everytime I check it I get the same error. 

Exception thrown by EAI backend, can not check activation status.

I have no idea what this means.

I have a new boost mobile phone and I can't activate it. Why? I activated my other phone. I purchased two phones and I'm trying to get a boost mobile number for the second phone that's not activated. I transported my primary phone number from Cricket. This second phone has nothing to do with cricket. It's never been used. What's going on? This is the worst service I've ever had. I may go back to cricket.
