Payment Processing On Bank Card but Said Couldn't Process the Order

Today I was looking at our account and noticed we have BoostUP now. I was going to surprise my husband with a new Samsung GalaxyS8 phone. but after putting all of our info in, it said it couldnt be processed so i figured id get into boost a get a phone it self. I THEN get a text from my bank stating a payment is processing from BOOST. I work in accounting and when its processing it could just be an authorization and not a charge, BUT im just wondering WHY would they authorize my card if it stated it couldnt process. 

 

Last time i was on the phone with boost for 2 hours and got 0 answers and just hung up.
