Swap service from S7 to a S9 but the IMEI shows the # doesn’t work

So the card it’s in my S7 that fits in this S9 is not usable?

 I got the IMEI Entered when I was trying to do the phone swap, then  next step  it asked for the ICCID Which I tried  the # from my current phone Sim card since the new S9 has no Sim card.

When I go to that link and enter the number it goes to the next for “Activate” I don’t know whether to try and continue since I thought I need to Do it is as a-swap

In that case, you need to purchase the SIM card because the one you're using will not be compatible @Takk1956.

I did not want to tap the activation As I didn’t know if I could stop once started, or trying to find out if the Sim card from my S7 is usable in the S9
