Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus any updates?
I've been impatiently waiting to be able to active my unlocked S8 Plus on Boost. I come back and check the list of eligible phones every once and a while and check my IMEI, and to my delight, today it said my IMEI would work! Hallelujah and praise little baby Jesus!
So I tried to go through the process to "swap devices" and when it came time to enter the IMEI again it said there was a problem with it and to re-enter it. I know I'm entering it right, double and triple checked.
What's the dealio? I got so excited only to be let down again!

That SIM card is not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. It is an unlocked device. You'll need to purchase a new SIM card when you Bring Your Own Phone from a non-Boost Mobile wireless provider. Your new Boost Mobile SIM card will allow you to use the Boost Mobile network. To get a Boost Mobile SIM card kit, buy online, visit a Boost Mobile store or contact your local Walmart, Best Buy, or Target for product availability. It could be that the device has to be added to the Boost system.

Hi Fonsy,
I am already a Boost customer and have a sim from my iPhone 6 that I believe should work with the Samsung. Also can you tell me why would it be telling me it's an error with the IMEI as I never got to the point of doing anything with the SIM? Thanks!

I have already done that and it said the phone was eligible. But there is apparently some other issue with the phone because no one can figure out how to make it work on Boost's network.
