One Ui 3.0 Android 11 - on Samsung Galaxy S10 & Edge Lighting not working

1. As of 2.13.21 device still states 2.5 v10 - software up to date. Samsung rolled out update in January.  What is the hold up?  When will device be updated to One Ui 3.0 Android 11 - on Samsung Galaxy S10?

2. Does 3.0 fixes the issue of Edge Lighting not working while screen is off for apps other than Samsung's?

Hi there ABC10. Software updates are sent out over the air by the manufacturer not carrier. Once the update is available, your phone will indicate accordingly.

Lets verify is the update is available for your phone. Please follow the following steps:

Update software versions
  1. From the Home screen, swipe up on an empty spot to open the Apps tray.
  2. Tap Settings > Software update > Download updates manually.
  3. Wait for the device to check for updates.
  4. Tap OK > Start.
  5. When the restart message appears, tap OK.

... you are definitely not keeping up

See how my original post states "1. As of 2.13.21 device still states 2.5 v10 - software up to date."

Where do you think that info comes from?

We understand and we are "keeping up" If the phone is indicating up to date at the moment, the newest update has not been received by your phone.  We were able to verify the following: As of Feb 1, 2021:

the update One UI 3.0 update based on Android 11 for the Samsung Galaxy S10 is currently undergoing verification. As for the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, the One UI 3.0 (Android 11update verification was successful. Therefore, users can expect to get the stable update soon.

Then why was your first answer to me claiming as though carrier is not involved in this process: "Software updates are sent out over the air by the manufacturer not carrier."

What is your ETA for the rollout for Samsung Galaxy S10?

Carriers are not involved in the process of sending the updates. That's done by in your case "Samsung". This is information we tracked down for you to be aware of. When the update is available, it will be sent out accordingly.
