Network problems

Hi, recently I had an update on my phone and I noticed that I didn't get any service while I was at work. I've never had this problem before. It seems like I only have service because of my wifi at home. And I don't understand why my network service is not working without the wifi. Please help.

First off my network new data connection is terrible and always lagging on internet and other data networks when I tried to connect to my Wi-Fi it tells me will connect when network connection is better.... what to do?
