Why is my phone order cancelled?

On monday afternoon around 4:30 yesterday i ordered a samsung s8 and went to check the order status of my phone only to see that my ordered was cancelled why?

The system does a verification process to be able to release the device on an actual contract.

I ordered the iPhone 11 on Friday and today (Monday), I checked the status to find out that it says pending cancellation.
